Dear Readers,

Our company is in a phase of rapid expansion. Whether it is increasing our portfolio by gaining certifications as with American Express or Intergraf, or by winning major clients as in the case of Austrian Lotteries or TEB - Austria Card is not standing still.
At the same time we go at great lengths to keep the growth sustainable, ensuring that we live up to our century-long corporate values. Obtaining the Austrian eco-label shows our commitment to the environment, and in order to be better in touch with our stakeholders we have launched a new website.

Austria Card Receives AMEX Enabled Accreditation for Card Production Services
We are pleased to announce that Austria Card Romania has achieved the AMEX Enabled accreditation* for the production and personalization of magnetic stripe and EMV cards.

“Now that we have received the AMEX Enabled accreditation, we can offer card production services for American Express cards to our clients. Each card is produced in the EU, guaranteeing short lead times and top-notch quality,” says Konstantinos Lagios, Chief Commercial Officer at Austria Card.

About AMEX Enabled
AMEX Enabled is an accreditation that signifies a product or service is approved for use on the American Express Global Network based on meeting American Express specifications, and security and compliance requirements.

The AMEX Enabled Program is a convenient way for companies to get the information they need to develop a product or service that is compatible with the American Express Global Network. Once a company’s product/service is fully certified with American Express, it is eligible to use the AMEX Enabled badge.

AMEX Enabled products are listed on www.amexenabled.com, allowing issuers (financial institutions that provide cards to consumers) and acquirers (financial institutions that enable merchants to accept payments) to confidently select technology that is compatible with the American Express Global Network.

Piraeus Bank Introduces Farmer’s Card
From mid-February Austria Card and Inform deliver a new product to Piraeus Bank of Greece, which has a new initiative aimed at helping farmers to directly finance expenditures associated with the cultivation of crops, including fertilizers, fodder, medicine, fuel, etc. The "Farmer's Card" is a modern banking product with the loan facility linked to the annual subsidy received by producers. In essence, the "Farmer's Card" provides in advance part of the annual agricultural subsidies that each producer is entitled to, by giving directly the necessary liquidity at a time when needed for production.
The cards are produced by Austria Card and personalized locally in Athens by Inform. A similar product is already being shipped to Turkey, namely the Farmer's Card for DenizBank.

Inform and Austrian Lotteries have signed a frame contract for the production of lottery tickets, Lotto "6 out of 45", EuroMillions, ToiToi, and other gaming products.
The agreement also covers the production of thermal receipt rolls. Inform has already successfully delivered the first tranche of thermal roles and lottery tickets at the end of the last year. Kostas Grekis, Commercial Director at Inform: "Austrian Lotteries have a major demand with regards to security printing products. Austrian Eco-label for Inform
In March, Federal Secreatry Andrä Rupprechter has awarded to Inform the Austrian eco label.
The eco label is granted to companies that manage to link sustainable business with success and represent environmental friendliness, high quality and local sourcing, and are committed far beyond the legal requirements.
Obtaining the eco-label is not just recognition for our serious contribution to protect the environment, but also helps our clients. The Austrian eco-label is being awarded for 25 years now, and during this period the consumers' interest in certified products has been ever rising. Companies that had the eco-label on average have a revenue growth of 8.5%, which shows that people are becoming more sensitive for issues such as environmental friendliness and that it is a factor affecting the purchasing decisions.

Austria Card sponsors Pecoraro & Pecoraro
Austria Card invited its customers and partners to a special event of the Meet Austria Card-series. We sponsored the unique „When Father and Son…" at the Viennese Stadthalle by top performers Pecoraro & Pecoraro. The concert was a crossover-show where father and son merged classical and popular music at the highest level. Herwig Pecoraro, a distinguished tenor at the Viennese State Opera for thirty years, and his son Mario, a composer and musician in well-known Austrian pop-music bands, performed global hits and newly composed songs with their own orchestra and an exceptional band.
Besides giving back something to our customers, we hope that by sponsoring this type of events we help to strengthen Europe’s cultural tradition, especially with regards to music.
After the concert our guests had a meet-and-greet with the artists and let the evening fade away with drinks and food.

King of Jordan visits Vienna
King Abdullah II. of Jordan officially visited Austria, attending a round table held at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber in Vienna. Sixteen hand-picked Austrian companies - including Austria Card represented by Mr. Lykos - were invited to present their company portfolio to the Jordanian market. For Austria Card Jordan is an important region, not least because it operates a local sales office in Jordan. The country is not only an export market, but a hub for the entire Middle East and parts of Africa.
